Lash Extension Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential for maintaining beautiful, long-lasting results. Whether you’ve received eyelash extensions, a facial, head spa, or waxing service, following these professional aftercare instructions will help protect your investment and keep your results looking their best.
Eyelash Extension Aftercare
Eyelash extensions can last 4–6 weeks with proper care. The adhesive bond needs time to fully cure, so the first 48 hours after application are critical. Following these guidelines will help you get the most out of your lash investment and keep them looking full and beautiful between refills.
Do NOT get your lashes wet during the first 48 hours. Water, steam, and sweat can break the adhesive bond before it fully cures.
First 48 Hours
Following your initial lash application:
Keep lashes completely dry
Avoid participating in activities that cause you to sweat
Do not use oil-based products of any kind on or near your eyes
Avoid touching or rubbing your lashes directly
Sleep on your side or back — not face-down
Avoid steam rooms, saunas, and hot yoga
After 48 Hours
Ongoing care for lasting results:
Wash lashes each morning and evening using an oil-free eye wash
Brush lashes daily from middle to tips with your Retractable Lash Styling Wand
Use Lady Lash Studio's protective lash coating every other day on completely dry lashes — apply from middle to tips
Avoid applying oil-based or waterproof cosmetics and creams on or around the eyes
Apply a translucent powder on top of any product applied to or around the eye area
Schedule refill appointments every 2–3 weeks to maintain fullness
Head Spa Aftercare
Avoid washing your hair for at least 6–8 hours after treatment to allow products to absorb
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and support detoxification
Avoid heavy styling products for the first 24 hours
Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo for your next wash to preserve treatment benefits
If you received a scalp treatment, avoid scratching or picking at the scalp
Facial Aftercare
Avoid direct sun exposure after a facial. Your skin is sensitive post-treatment — wear SPF 30+ if you go outside.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours; wear SPF 30+ if you go outside
Do not touch or pick at your skin — your pores are open and vulnerable to bacteria
Skip makeup for at least 12 hours to let your skin breathe
Avoid exfoliating products for 48–72 hours after your facial
Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water to support your skin's recovery
Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer if your skin feels tight
Waxing Aftercare
Do not shave between waxing appointments. Allow 4–6 weeks of growth between sessions for the best, longest-lasting results.
Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 hours
Do not apply perfumed products, deodorant, or makeup to waxed areas for 24 hours
Wear loose, breathable clothing over waxed areas to avoid irritation
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 48 hours
Gently exfoliate the waxed area after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs
Apply a soothing aloe vera gel if you experience redness or sensitivity
Do not shave between waxing sessions — allow 4–6 weeks of growth for best results
